The Secretariat of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, through the “Educate Your Child” program, had the honor of being invited by the Diocese of Banha under the care of His Grace Bishop Maximus. The event hosted primary school students at Al-Yanbou’ Home in the Ahmed Orabi Association area.
The goal was to welcome the children and congratulate them on the new school year, helping them prepare for their studies with a new mindset and an appreciation of the importance of education for their intellectual development.
The hosting was carried out by volunteer servants of the “Educate Your Child” program under the supervision of Father Bishoy Charles and Father Louka Maher. Fourteen churches participated, with a total of 130 students accompanied by 26 male and female servants. We were also blessed with the presence of three priests: Father Girgis Zaki, Father Maqar Sadiq, and Father Raphael.
The day began at 10 a.m. with a welcome to the attendees and a breakfast meal, followed by the start of the program.
The children were divided according to their grade levels (first through sixth). The students met with the servants and moved through stations where they were taught lessons from each subject (Arabic, English, Math, Social Studies, and Science) using excellent teaching aids in an engaging and attractive manner for the children.
The program included entertainment segments between each lesson, as well as free time to enjoy the games available at the venue. There was also a break with lunch provided. Competitions were held among the children in a fun atmosphere, and at the end of the day, gifts suitable for the new school year were given to each .student, along with a certificate of appreciation
