Daughter of the King

– The “Daughter of the King” celebration is one of the programs of the Secretariat of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II for Social Welfare Services 2022. It was attended by:

   – His Excellency Minister Hany Mahmoud, Adviser to the Prime Minister for Administrative Reform

– The celebration was sponsored by Nasser Social Bank.

– The event began with a welcome speech by His Holiness the Pope to all attendees, followed by speeches from Bishop Yulius, Father Bishoy Sharl, Deputy Chairman of Nasser Social Bank Mohamed Ashmawy, Grand Mufti Shawki Allam, and the Minister of Social Solidarity.

– A documentary was shown that presented the “Daughter of the King” program, featuring interviews with girls enrolled in the program and the servants supporting this project.

– The documentary explained the program’s concept: opening savings accounts for girls and regularly contributing funds to help cover the costs of marriage and meet all their needs when they reach marriage age. The film included comments from the girls and servants, expressing their gratitude for the program and how they benefited from it.

– The girls presented a choir performance and sang national anthems.

   – The slogan of the “Daughter of the King” program:

   – “My hands are full of His blessings; I’ll never need anyone else.*

   – I am the daughter of the King of kings, satisfied and grateful for His blessings.*

   – He crowned me with dignity and granted me a virtuous life.*

   – I am different because I am a princess, and in His eyes, I am His beautiful daughter.*

   – I am the daughter of the King of kings, different in many ways.*”

– The Minister spoke in her speech about the partnership, the social, charitable, and investment roles of Nasser Social Bank, and its offering of savings and investment packages that support the program.

– The event concluded with a speech by His Holiness the Pope, who described the “Daughter of the King” project as one of collaboration, service, and dignity. It presents an exemplary model of cooperation between the Church and the Ministry of Social Solidarity, represented by Nasser Social Bank. He emphasized that the project stands out for its focus on dignity, as it helps girls meet their needs, contributing to building good, happy families that positively impact societal development. He also thanked all attendees.

– Certificates of recognition and gifts were presented at the end of the celebration.
